Team Construction's annual trip overseas to help in the fight against human trafficking takes us to a remote village in north central Cambodia. We have joined forces with Child Rights Foundation, an NGO in Cambodia.
Our goal: Raise $______ in order to...
Replace the roof (kids are typically sent home when it rains because the current roof is so loud)
Finish the exterior walls
Build 2 bathrooms (there are currently no bathrooms nearby, causing many girls to stay home)
Construct a hand-washing station (hygiene & sanitation must be taught as many do not know how to do it properly - causing diarrhea to be a huge problem)
Build interior walls so that there are 2 classrooms and a library/learning center

A little background...
Bou Thea, a local community member, started building the school two years ago with some help from friends in Korea and other members of the community. He understood how important it was for the kids in the community to get an education, and he knew that most would not be going to school as the closest was 7-8km away. There are no school busses, meaning the kids would have to walk or bike on a treacherous path that is impassable in many spots (the rain washes it out).
